Description

GREGORY THE GORILLA

Inspired by my youngest son Wesley and a book

he was reading. I was thinking of a zany cartoon

gorilla with a tremendous appetite.

A lively sing-a-long.

LYRICS:

Come down from the mountain,

with knuckles dragging around

Been waiting here for hours,

with fruit, grubs and flowers

A big, green food bin, termites by the pound

Bark, ants and leaves,

our lunch up in the trees

Gregory the gorilla, sleeps in a comfy nest

Gregory the gorilla, is leader of his troop

Gregory the gorilla, pounds his bare chest

Gregory the gorilla,

sucks the back of his hand

Come down from the mountain,

knuckles dragging around

Been waiting here for hours,

with fruit, grubs and flowers

A big, green food bin, termites by the pound

Bark, ants and leaves,

our lunch up in the trees

Stay off of the mountain,

your hands upon the ground

The public all cowers,

from gorillas golden showers

Gregory the gorilla, is a silverback

Gregory the gorilla, only fears a leopard

Gregory the gorilla, knows sign language

Gregory the gorilla, ate a caterpillar
