Laura Vall is a Barcelona (Spain) native based in Los Angeles, CA with more than 10 years of experience as a singer (lead vocalist, backup singer and studio singer), performer, songwriter, lyricist and producer.
Winner of “Artist of the Year 2012" at Artists In Music Awards, "Best Alternative Song of 2012" for her band's The Controversy single "Real" at Hollywood Music And Media Awards and nominated for many other awards, Vall’s lyrical, warm, soulful and hypnotic voice has brought her to work with several renowned artists like Stevie Wonder, Rhonda Smith (Chaka Khan, Beyoncé, Erykah Badu...) and Michael Bland (Prince), with Grammy winning producers like Jeff Weber and Michael Clark, to collaborate with composers like the Grammy nominated Austin Wintory and multi-award winner Garry Schyman, to tour the world as a performer with several bands and artists including the Earth Harp Collective (or MASS Ensemble), to perform in musical theater plays like "Hanoman, The Ultimate Warrior" in Indonesia and to be featured on TV at America's Got Talent (performing with William Close and the Earth Harp Collective) and Hitam Putih (most watched prime time talk show in Indonesia, promoting "Hanoman").
Laura is also a music producer and co-founder of the production company Velvet Mind Productions with Thomas Hjorth. As a production company Velvet Mind Productions has produced some of the most talented and innovative artists in the Los Angeles area and continues to do so.
Lastly, Laura is a vocal instructor with many years of experience teaching private lessons, music theory, ear training, sight-singing and performance. For 3 years, Laura was a vocal instructor at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA for the Vocal Program, the Bachelors Program and the Independent Artist Program. Now, she teaches vocal and music lessons at her home studio in Silver Lake, CA.
